Olé Mexican Foods Founder Honored as Hispanic Businesswoman of the Year

Veronica Moreno, founder and president of Olé Mexican Foods, Inc., was honored to receive recognition by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as its Businesswoman of the Year. The award was presented at the 29th Annual GHCC Awards Gala, held in 2017.

The Businesswoman of the Year Award is presented each year to a female business leader who has excelled in providing exceptional leadership to her company to find success, as well as demonstrating commitment to the Hispanic community as a whole. The support and contributions made to the Hispanic community have been a dominating force for Veronica and the rest of the Olé Mexican Foods team. To have their dedication recognized in an event like this has meant a great deal to Veronica.

“I am very proud to have received this recognition. As a first-generation immigrant into the United States, it has always been very important for me to remain closely tied to my Hispanic heritage. The work we do has always been with a great deal of respect for the traditions and history of our culture. We like to say, our products are always made by our family with a lot of love,” explains Veronica.

Veronica and her family hope recognitions like this may inspire young minority entrepreneurs to follow their dreams—especially young female minority business owners. By being an example of hard work and uncompromising commitment to who you are, anyone can reach their goals.

When Olé Mexican Foods was first established in 1988, the small company was producing authentic tortillas in Atlanta, Georgia, for their families and the growing Hispanic community. Veronica never compromised in using quality traditional ingredients and time-tested techniques passed down to her through generations from her native Mexico.

Today, Olé Mexican Foods celebrates its 30th anniversary, and its products are available across the nation—ranging from tortillas to authentic cheeses and meats. That same commitment to tradition and quality, however, is still evident in every product the company delivers.

Veronica Moreno and all the family and staff at Olé Mexican Foods would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation for this award and their Hispanic community. The success of Olé Mexican Foods has always been derived from their close connection to their culture, family, and traditions.
